Policies affecting children at all levels of society and government should have what's the best interest as a primary concern a couple of months ago was at a training seminar with a sergeant Glenn Walsh from the sheriff's department and then he went over the statistic of what has been happening in Colorado Washington and Oregon try kids there it clearly stated that this is not this was not taking into consideration with recreational marijuana legalized in your state I'm just going to be do some of those stats  80% of people using marijuana in the state or 25 years old then who do you think it would be marketed to real talking about pot shops opening all the brownies and ice cream and Edibles in there in Colorado the traffic that they're up 92% between 2010 and 2014 in Washington state fatal accidents where the driver had. increased by 120% from 2010 to 2014 so I'm basically I just want to bring to everybody's attention who's going to be yes or no I just want people to read it look at the fact I look at how it's going to affect our youth and the kids in the community if this thing passes and I've been you called have you done with my beautiful niece on graduate from Beverly High School is going to tell you more about what is observed in community hi I'm the clothes have you better I should I went to high school here and class of 2006 10 year reunion is coming up with you I'm here to speak about project before and grew up here with my friends my family so I was going to care a lot about the community and the kids that go here so that's why I come to talk to you guys accident in Colorado Oregon and Washington those are the states where marijuana has become legalized recreational and there's a lot of under the impression that legalized there won't be that much Rebellion from kids so they'll want to they won't want to smoke weed as much but and all of the states and the age that children are starting to smoke marijuana from that they dropped to 12 years old but that's the new are they started to smoke weed something that's really important is that the perception of danger when it's hire people do it last but whenever it's people start doing more so right now we're becoming legalized it sounds like it's not that big of a deal so the cousins drop a danger and now they want to do it more and now in college is a lot more kids are smoking a lot more kids are actually flunking out of school because something more and the amount of pot shops that I've actually opened there's more potshots and Starbucks and McDonald's in Colorado and we know that we can start like every corner so and I did now instead of any pot shops and its kids walk to school what are they going to see on the way and at night watch TV with your grandchildren kids they can put advertisements for marijuana as well now it took about 45 years for Sig to be banned on an advertisement so even if and eventually I'm sure it'll make enough damage before then and so now you're thinking about the future the people that are going to run everything and if those people are smoking weed all the time and driving and getting into car accidents and killing others if not themselves second hand smoke the smell being everywhere them from what I understand and for what play when I talk to people it's not a lot now so if that's happening in those dates and they want to start bringing it to California after taxes in California can only imagine since we set the town driver eBuddy else it'll pass everywhere else and  changing billboards stage 4 cigarettes at the camel but for weed there's like something called buddy and they have the whole character for him so he will be and the Edibles and all that that's going on if it's marketed towards kids now not even about me I mean I'm 27 but I'm about to 15 year olds to 10 year olds if you hook them and got them for like that a customer for life you tried to convince me now I'm already dead said in the know so this is about the future and is about the kids and I think it's very important to Enlighten people about it so that when it comes to voting  still have a informed answer that was all I wanted to say and I hope that you have enjoyed that hi my name is Kathy she Harry I am a PTA moms I have a daughter at Beverly High I have two kids that graduated from Beverly High and I'm trying to ask the community to vote no on Prop 64 mainly because marijuana is already a problem here and so don't want it to be completely out of control and Beverly Hills times has six pages promoting use of marijuana and so our community is already a victim and  I just want the Uno everybody to be more aware and vote no for prop 64 thank you thank you very much any further public, they say none public common is now closed moving on to the consent calendar is there any items to pull Miss Margo make a motion to approve the consent calendar - items 8 C and 8 h is there second so they mr. They've committed to us we had a meeting with them they I have committed 250,000 as soon as soon as possible we've been in Communications they have some things that they would like us in terms of securing the field and would we worked all week we just ordered new signage but we have an agreement for 250,000 and then the 100000 and they wanted to build them in over a five-year. space is the only space that have erf is efficient in using is the auditorium so we call this a vrf hybrid solution and in the hybrid means that the auditorium will be in a chilled water system the 90 ton Chiller is being side because it's now going to be adequate to be able to use in the future for the auditorium the chiller is able to to manage and go at these lower and we're only doing this for a couple of years and it can manage at a lower so it is too big it's big for the size that we're going to use in the long term it's not too big for what we need now it can be I'm size or Org the load on the chiller can be reduced to sufficiently cool building e that's all it's looking to do is to pool building e and in discussions with the engineers they're telling us that this will work so at some point we'll have have to be moved because it's going to get in the way of construction in such a way that we don't have to move it it will get moved at some point in time when we have to put on the the air conditioning if you will for the auditorium the company you know when I when I researched this Eminem was not support of this company they were in support of a different company who has proven to have no change orders and all the controls tying and they've had their job is very much problem-free and seem like on the chiller would be the correct size with maximum efficiency and it would be placed in a place that it would moved again which is the plantar area near Building E for the walkway it's catty-corner to the building so I just want to say that I'm not going to support the actually making a different change the controls it at the high school that that corrects the problem at the chillers at the high school so we didn't we didn't ultimately need a pony Chiller at the high school but then we came up with this this time I'm working with the engineers of saying we need it because we're changing to the vrf system there so Gina was party to the the discussions that we had about the the to do SUB I just pony killer I not saying he wasn't party to it at some point but it's not his recommendation he the pipe sides building a critical and no one checked it but him and a company and he let you guys know and you guys can get back to I'm just want to be transparent that I'm not going to support this job because I don't think we need to service I'm sure we do I just and then we don't do this everyone on the decision so that's what I would say to the board from now on I think we don't have much more positive construction experience and looking back we'd have to problem if everyone were pretty much on the same page and included specially people's are going to be having the responsibility to take care of the buildings many years after the construction understanding the era these buildings were built and be paired potentially When contractors come in to bid that hey by the way you should consider this might be a possibility you might be running into it so let's look at that in the bed so in the future if we don't discover it when we ripped the floors off  then we can say it's the change order will come back in our favor that's that's kind of rude we should be more proactive understanding the kind of buildings that we dealing with  just is a brief I mean an update on these three schools that are under construction of the buildings okay the high school by far has been the biggest challenge and it's I'd love to know the history behind how it all unfold as to why the high school ended up being so much more of a challenge because while we're finding it's a much much much smaller percentage of things that were found and same goes with building a out at Horace Mann I mean the work thing and Horus and I think we found in the cafeteria
