What is the Joint Powers Agreement?
For three decades, the City of Beverly Hills has had a long-standing partnership with the Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD). Through a contractual document called the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA), City funding is provided to the BHUSD for a variety of programs and services. In return, the City is afforded use of a wide array of educational and recreational facilities that would otherwise not be available.

Beverly Hills, CA – The City of Beverly Hills will continue its long-standing partnership with the Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD), offering sizable funding and a variety of critical services totaling over $45 million in a four year agreement benefiting the whole community. This new agreement represents a 20% increase over last year and also includes additional one-time funding of nearly $3 million.
