Beverly Hills Adult School is proud to announce its Parent Education program. Some of the courses are listed in the brochure; some will be promoted through flyers as they are available. When attending workshops offered at the schools, please take the time to fill out a registration form. This will allow us to receive support from state money as we continue to expand our offerings.

BEVERLY HILLS PARENT UNIVERSITY: Part I
*Effective Parenting Techniques: Parenting Children of All Ages
Have you ever wished that you could better help your child with homework or to study for a test? As children make their way through school, many parents struggle with specific ways to support their children and to help them feel more confident in classes and while studying. In this class, two credentialed BHUSD teachers will facilitate the PASS (Parents Achieving Student Success) Program, which provides ideas and skills to help parents assist their children in the educational process. Some topics to be covered are: parenting attitudes, the home-study environment, listening and study skills. In addition, the presenters will facilitate meaningful conversations among participants regarding current parenting issues. Parents will leave each session feeling inspired and confident, along with many helpful materials to use together with their children.
