The process for forming Transition Committees for the reconfiguration of BHUSD K-8 schools will begin in January. As the work of each committee will be linked to a broader set of directives and strategies, we need more time to develop a plan that clearly defines the team structure, leadership and roles aligned with our goals and measures for success so that we create a meaningful process and outcomes.
Each committee will be composed of a BHUSD administrative leader who will serve as "Chairperson" and community members which will be selected by the Chairperson based on the interest forms that were received by November 21.
Working together with the District Leadership Team, the Chairperson will select the committee members and schedule meeting times.
Committee members will be selected by the Transition Committee Chairperson in January*. Note: time was extended so that we can build an effective transition team structure, efficient process and guide member selection according to the scores of interest forms received.
