Beverly Hills, CA (August 17, 2026) – Beverly Hills Unified School District Board of Education President Judith Manouchehri has launched Back to Beverly, a new Board Presidential Initiative inviting Beverly Hills High School alumni back to campus to reconnect with the school they once called home and experience firsthand the transformation of BHHS.
Back to Beverly continues BHUSD’s use of Board Presidential Initiatives to create new ways to connect the District with its students, staff, families and broader community. In 2025, then-Board President Rachelle Marcus launched Mrs. Marcus Meets, a presidential initiative and video series highlighting the educators and staff whose work supports students across BHUSD.
This year’s initiative turns the focus to generations of BHHS alumni and their lasting connection to Beverly.
“There are places on this campus that stay with you long after graduation. The lawn where you met your friends, the auditorium where you performed, the field where you competed, or simply the hallways you walked every day,” said Board of Education President Judith Manouchehri, a Beverly Hills High School alumna. “Back to Beverly is an opportunity for our alumni to come home, revisit those memories and see the extraordinary spaces that are now creating new memories for today’s students.”
Over the past year, major portions of the Beverly Hills High School campus have reopened following extensive modernization. The historic K.L. Peters Auditorium and Salter Family Theatre returned with restored architectural elements and new sound, lighting and theatrical technology. BHHS has also opened six new tennis courts, a new softball field and new classroom and performance spaces in Buildings B3 and B4.
The Grand Lawn, long regarded as the heart of the BHHS campus, also reopened this spring after years of construction and has once again become a central gathering place for students and school traditions.
Through Back to Beverly, alumni will have opportunities on select dates to return to campus, tour newly completed spaces, revisit familiar areas and see how Beverly Hills High School is carrying its traditions into a new generation.
Beyond welcoming alumni back to campus, Back to Beverly is designed to help build lasting connections between generations of Normans, with the hope of creating future opportunities for alumni to engage with current students through career days, mentorship, classroom experiences, and other meaningful partnerships.
