Beverly Hills, CA (September 4, 2026) – Generations of Beverly Hills High School alumni returned to campus Friday, September 4, as the Beverly Hills Unified School District hosted the first Back to Beverly, a Board Presidential Initiative launched by Board of Education President Judith Manouchehri.
More than 20 BHHS alumni participated in the inaugural tour, representing graduating classes spanning nearly four decades, from the Class of 1968 through the Class of 2007. The group included 10 members of the Class of 1974, who returned together to see how their former campus has changed while revisiting many of the places they remember.
“This is exactly what we hoped Back to Beverly would be,” said Board of Education President Judith Manouchehri, a BHHS alumna and former BHHS ASB President. “Watching alumni walk through campus, share their memories, and experience everything that is new at Beverly was incredibly special. No matter how much this campus changes, there is a connection to Beverly that stays with you. We want our alumni to know they will always have a place here.”
During the tour, alumni explored newly completed and modernized spaces across BHHS, including the K.L. Peters Auditorium, Salter Family Theatre, Grand Lawn, new classrooms, the Command Center, and athletic facilities, while also returning to familiar areas that have been part of the Beverly experience for generations.
Along the way, alumni learned about the many academic and career pathways now available to BHUSD students and saw firsthand how the Beverly experience has evolved while many of its traditions remain. The group also visited the BHHS Alumni Hall of Fame, celebrating generations of Normans whose accomplishments continue to be part of the school’s history.
Back to Beverly was created to reconnect BHHS alumni with their school while building stronger connections between generations of Normans. As the initiative grows, BHUSD hopes to create additional opportunities for alumni to engage with current students through mentorship, career experiences, classroom visits, and other meaningful partnerships.
Additional Back to Beverly tours are scheduled throughout the year, with more dates coming soon.
