A special invitation from Superintendent Michael Bregy: Here in the Beverly Hills Unified School District, we pride ourselves on using the latest advances in technology as part of our every day learning in the classroom. From Kindergarten to High School, our students are using programs like Seesaw, Nearpod, zSpace, Booksnaps, Chatterpix, and Flipgrid to bring lessons to life. We’re reimagining how our instructors are teaching, and taking our students to places they couldn’t have reached without technology. But the most important lesson doesn’t come in an app. It’s digital citizenship: kids and families need to know how to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in a digital world. BHUSD is here to help provide you with the tools and resources to make this happen, and to draw connections between what your kids are learning in the classroom, and your role in guiding your student’s behavior and decision making at home, and in the future. Join us Wednesday November 29th – for a free event to help you become a Plugged-In Parent. We’ll have guest speaker from Common Sense Media and activities just for you, geared at raising Digitally-Safe and Media-Smart Kids: at Home, at School, and at Life. Our Plugged-In Parents event is Wednesday, November 29th, from 6:30 to 8: 30 pm in the Beverly Vista School auditorium. Complimentary refreshments and childcare will be provided. We hope to see you there!
