	K-8 Summer Enrichment and Arts Academy Each summer under the direction of the Beverly Hills Unified School District, the Beverly Hills Education Foundation administers the summer school program for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. 	WeTip’s School Safety Program WeTip’s School Safety Program offers the WeTip anonymous hotline to students and their families. WeTip’s hotline is a way for people to get involved in establishing a safer community. Students are often afraid to report crime information because they fear reprisal from the person they are reporting. Beverly Hills Board of Education Unanimously Agrees to Compromise on Opportunity Permits On January 12, 2010, the Board of Education determined that opportunity permits will not be granted for the 2010-2011 school year, with the following exceptions for students currently attending the Beverly Hills Unified School District on an opportunity permit in 2009-2010: students on opportunity permits entering 8th grade for the 2010-11 school year and students on opportunity permits entering 10th, 11th and 12th grade for the 2010-11 school year.

Beverly Hills High School Educator Recognized as Educator of Distinction The Beverly Hills Unified School District and the staff at Beverly Hills High School is proud to announce that Joanie Garratt, history teacher at Beverly was recently recognized by the National Society of High School Scholars, with the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award.
