Success Story: School Lost and Found

Ms. Revness' third grade El Rodeo students saw a "community need" in their school to organize the piles of clothing and student belongings in the Lost and Found. Organizing their surrounding environment is part of their social studies curriculum.

A new sign was made and the class publicized that the Lost and Found contained lost jackets, sweaters, wallets, and other assorted items. Items with names are returned to students on an ongoing monthly basis.

Through this Service-Learning project, the third-graders acquired skills such as organization, communication and responsibility.
