Success Story: Read Across America

As part of the second-grade literacy standards, students participated in "Read Across America" Day. After reading several books the students, in celebration of Dr. Seuss' 100th birthday, read several of his books aloud. Students then earned $1 by performing a needed chore at home and this money was used to purchase a biography of Theodore Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss).

The book was donated to the El Rodeo School Library for other students to enjoy.
