Facilities Yard Clearing, Aggregate Base, and Compaction
at Beverly Hills High School

Project Scope/Summary of Work: Installation of aggregate base paving for two existing portable classrooms
pads to finish surfaces, saw cut and removal of asphalt paving:

1. Demolition, saw cutting, and removal of asphalt pavement or concrete walk and base, existing
asphalt ramps, storm drain catch basins, fence, cutting down existing galvanized pipes below finish
surface, removal of any debris in the pads.
2. Fill in and compact two existing pads with base to existing finish surface. Slope the pads to drain to
the new drain heights. Install pressure treated 2X header on the north side of the north pad. Raise
up 3 existing storm drain catch basins as needed for pad drainage. Install traffic concrete boxes
with covers for the existing water shut off valves and sewer POC’s. Clean up.

CONTRACTOR should consult the Construction Services Contract for CUPCCAA Projects Up to $60,000,
General Conditions, specifications, photos, and aerial imaging provided for this notice.

A site visit will be available to interested contractors on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., at
Beverly Hills High School: 241 South Moreno Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212. For security purposes, interested
contractors who would like a site visit must send an RSVP e-mail to [email protected].

The Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor Licenses: C-
12 – Earthwork or Paving or A – General Engineering Contractor License. The Bidder’s license(s) must be active
and in good standing at the time quotes are received and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract.
Subcontractors (if any) shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the Work called for in the Contract Documents.

Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents provided herein.
The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general
prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et
seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are available from the District or through the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) website at: https://www.dir.ca.gov/OPRL/statistics_research.html.
Bidders and Bidders’ subcontractors shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code.

The Contractor and all subcontractors shall furnish certified payroll records as required pursuant Labor Code
section 1776 directly to the Labor Commissioner in accordance with Labor Code section 1771.4 on at least on a
monthly basis (or more frequently if required by the District or the Labor Commissioner) and in a format prescribed by the Labor Commissioner. Monitoring and enforcement of the prevailing wage laws and related requirements will be performed by the Labor Commissioner/ Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE).

The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond,
for any work that exceeds $25,000, if it is awarded the contract for the Project.
