Graduation/Commencement

Graduation/Commencement

You are receiving this email as a courtesy as you are a resident of Beverly Hills or a BHUSD Community Member. Although the information is most pertinent to our 5th, 8th, and 12th grade families, we encourage you to read this letter if you feel you may be impacted by the promotion/graduation ceremonies next week.

The Beverly Hills Unified School District will be holding commencement ceremonies on June 8th at Hawthorne and Horace Mann Elementary Schools, June 9th at Beverly Vista Middle School, and June 10th at Beverly Hills High School.

Entry to these events is strictly limited per the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Orders. All schools with the exception of BVMS will strictly enforce no entry without a wristband provided by the school. BVMS will deny admission to anyone without a ticket.

We ask all attendees to show respect to our local residents before, during, and after each event. As parking is limited, where possible please walk or use a car service to attend the events.

Relaxed parking enforcement will be in effect on the streets surrounding each school prior to and following the ceremonies. However, Beverly Hills PD parking enforcement will continue to ensure compliance with all safety restrictions, including: red curb violations, blocked driveways, parking in loading/unloading zones, and impeding the safe flow of traffic. Blocking private driveways may result in a parking citation and/or an impound.

Relaxed Parking Hours:

  • Hawthorne Elementary School June 8th 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Horace Mann Elementary School June 8th 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Beverly Vista Middle School June 9th 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Beverly Hills High School June 10th 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Per the Health Order, all seating will be allocated, ushers will assist you in finding your assigned seats. BHUSD is required to follow the most restrictive health orders, which at this time stipulates that everyone must wear a mask when on BHUSD property.
