Athletics Summer Camps

Athletics Summer Camps
BHUSD is proud to announce our Summer Athletics Camps for rising 6th-12th graders. Taught by current BHUSD coaching staff, camps are designed to teach skills in each sport as well as proper conditioning and strength techniques. Athletes may sign up for more than one sport. Both middle school and high school camps will be held in the Beverly Hills High School Athletics area (Middle School Flag Football will be held at Beverly Vista Middle School).

Open to all student-athletes, camps are fee-based, recreational, and entirely voluntary. Daily attendance supports athletic development but is not required. Participation in camps is not offered for credit and is not a prerequisite for equal access to participate in athletics during the school year. Enrollment in a summer athletic camp does not guarantee being on an athletic team. Not all sports offer a summer camp program. Camps are subject to cancellations due to low enrollment.

Dates: Monday-Friday, June 10-July 3 (No camp June 19)
Times: Vary by sport (see schedule below)

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds.
All students must be registered, paid, and cleared by the Athletics Office before the start of camp. Athletic Clearance is a process designed to ensure that all athletes are healthy for participation and that both parents and athletes understand the inherent risks that accompany athletics.

Students who have not been cleared to participate will be turned away from camp until the process is complete. No refunds will be offered for any dates missed due to athletic clearance.

Camp registration and payment must be completed before any student can participate in a camp.

STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE ALL STEPS OF THE ATHLETIC CLEARANCE PROCESS BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP.

24/25 ATHLETIC CLEARANCE CANNOT BE STARTED UNTIL MAY 1, 2024.

To participate in any Athletics Summer Camp, all athletes must complete all steps of the clearance process. If you were cleared for the 23/24 school year, you must complete the 24/25 Athletic Clearance using the Home Campus website to participate in Athletics Summer Camp.

1. Create an Athletic Clearance account for the student-athlete on Home Campus.

2. Complete and Upload the four required documents to the student's account on Home Campus:

      • Participation/Health History Form (completed by parent on Home Campus site)
      • Physical Exam Form (signed/dated by doctor. Physical Exams are valid for 1 year)
      • A copy of your Medical Insurance Card or proof of coverage from Myers-Stevens Insurance
      • Consent Confirmation Form (signed by athlete & parent)

NOTE: Once athletes are cleared for Athletics Summer Camp, they are conditionally cleared to participate in BVMS/BHHS Athletics for the entire school year, provided the physical exam form is valid. Athletic Clearance for seasonal sport athletes during the academic year will be subject to academic eligibility for final clearance.
Cost: $390.00 per camp
Registration and payments can be made through the BHHS Webstore (no American Express). ApplePay, cash, credit cards (no AMEX), and checks (payable to BHHS) are accepted at the BHHS Student Store

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds.
We will be out of town for a few days of camp, can we still sign up?
Yes! While we do not prorate, we try to keep the cost of camp reasonable knowing families may have conflict. Please let your coach know which days your student will be absent.

We signed up for camp but are no longer able to attend. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds.

Can my child sign up for more than one camp?
Yes! We welcome students to register for multiple camps. Camps are scheduled with the best effort to limit conflicts.

Am I allowed to register once camp begins?
Yes! Students may register at any time, however, they will not be able to participate until they have completed the Athletic Clearance process (see above). Camps are not prorated for late registration.

What does my child need to bring to camp?
Athletes should wear sunscreen and clothes/shoes appropriate for their sport. Athletes should bring the necessary equipment for their sport and plenty of water. If you have specific questions, please contact Tim Ellis at [email protected]

Where does my child go on the first day of camp?
Students should meet their coaches in the gathering area by the Swim Gym on Moreno Dr. Please ask the Security Guard for directions.

My child will be absent from camp. Who do I contact?
Please reach out to your child's coach or email Tim Ellis at [email protected].

My child was cleared to participate in Athletics last year.  Do I need to complete Athletic Clearance again?
Yes! Athletic Clearance needs to be completed every year (starting in the summer).

I would like to pay with a check but my student does not attend BHHS.  How do I access the BHHS Student Store?
Please contact Krissy Austin at [email protected] in the BHHS Student Store to schedule an appointment.

I am trying to pay online with my American Express but am getting an error message?
