Background Information Regarding BHUSD
In 2016 the BHUSD Board of Education requested that School Services of California, Inc., (SSC) conduct a special study including an analysis of: the current salary formulas that exist in the District's collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), current school formations and staffing, and adequate reserve levels. SSC conducted on-site interviews with administrators and support staff in various departments in order to understand the current staffing configurations and formulas, as well as the application of the current CBA language. SSC also reviewed documents provided by the District to augment this analysis.
