The Beverly Hills High School Attendance and Health Office is here to ensure students are present, supported, and ready to learn. We assist with attendance records, early dismissals, and health-related needs, providing care and guidance when students are unwell or require medical attention during the school day. Our goal is to work in partnership with families to promote consistent attendance, support student wellness, and help every Norman make each day well lived.
The Attendance Office is available for all of your child's attendance needs. It is staffed by Iris Aviram and Jenine Crowley.
The Attendance Office is open from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
To report your student absent, to excuse an absence, or if you need attendance assistance, please email [email protected] or call us at (310) 551-5125.
Attendance FAQs
Q: How do I excuse my child from class for a medical appointment?
A: Parents should contact the attendance office before 10am with the reason and time to leave the classroom. Students will then pick up the off-campus pass from the attendance office. Students show the pass to their teacher and security when leaving. When students return, they must submit a doctor’s note on physician’s stationery, signed by the doctor, with the date and time of the appointment to the attendance office within 5 days to excuse the absence.
Important: Leaving without an exit pass will result in an automatic unexcused absence.
Q: Are DMV appointments excused absences?
A: No, DMV appointments are UNEXCUSED per the attendance policy.
Q: Is travel an excused absence?
A: No, travel is UNEXCUSED per the attendance policy.
Q: Can students leave campus for lunch?
A: No.
Q: Where can I find more information on attendance policies?
A: Complete information can be found in the current issue of the Norman Guide.
Tardiness
Students arriving late to their first class MUST check in to the Attendance Office to obtain a tardy pass. Students are considered tardy if they arrive late to class without an excused, written note from a school official. Tardiness may result in penalties. See the current issue of the Norman Guide for more information.
