BVMS PTA Welcome
Dear Beverly Vista Middle School Families,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year!
As we kick off the school year, your BVMS PTA is energized in its commitment to revitalize our community and support programs that excite and engage our children academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.
This year, the BVMS PTA is committed to:
- Supporting and enhancing academic, elective, and extracurricular programming through hands-on learning, enrichment opportunities, clubs, guest speakers, and field trips.
- Fostering the self-care of our children through our new Bulldog Fitness and Bulldog Aide Wellness Centers.
- Strengthening our parent community by offering fun and exciting social opportunities designed to unite our incredible group of families.
- Upgrading our facilities to inspire our students to thrive in a space that is all their own.
Please get involved in any way you can. Here are four great ways to get started:
- Volunteer! Join a committee to help organize engaging programs or events for students & parents.
- Donate to the Annual Fund to enhance programs with hands-on activities and enrichment opportunities.
- Attend PTA meetings to hear about the latest programs and events, meet new parents, contribute ideas, share concerns. Meetings will take place on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Our first meeting will be on August 23rd at 9:00 am.
- Read the Bulldog Blast, our weekly PTA e-newsletter, for the latest school news delivered to your inbox every Sunday!

President's Message
Dear Beverly Vista Middle School Families,
I am honored to serve as your BVMS PTA President for the 2024/2025 school year! Having attended Horace Mann and Beverly Hills High School, this community holds a special place in my heart. My husband, Gordon, and our two boys (5th Grade at HM and 8th Grade at BVMS) are equally enthusiastic about contributing to our school's success and growth.
Picture a school where all our kids excel in every way— academically, socially, and emotionally– regardless of their interests, backgrounds, or ability. We can make this happen! As a PTA, our goal is to strengthen BVMS by supporting cutting-edge education and helping our children grow and thrive. As we celebrate our 6th year as a middle school, I am excited to build on our positive momentum with two primary objectives: 1) enhancing student programs and 2) increasing parent involvement.
But, we can't do this alone! I firmly believe that strong parental involvement, open communication, and active collaboration with teachers, administrators, and the community create a nurturing environment for all our kids.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our dedicated teachers, administrators, and staff for their unwavering dedication to our students.
To our incredible PARENTS and GUARDIANS: THANK YOU for your continued support and involvement—it truly makes a difference. With your participation, financial support, and enthusiasm we can create a vibrant and supportive community for our kids. By contributing to our Annual Fund you can make this happen!
Lastly, I am fortunate to have a fantastic BVMS PTA Executive Board by my side. Together, we are planning many exciting events and programs to enrich the lives of our students.
As we kick off this school year with new leadership and fresh ideas, I’m filled with optimism and excitement for what lies ahead. Let’s go ALL IN for our children and community.

WHAT IS THE BVMS ANNUAL FUND?
BVPTA ANNUAL FUND is Beverly Vista Middle School’s annual fundraising campaign. Contributions to the annual fund pay for school programs and services not funded by the Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) or the State of California such as supplemental student enrichment activities and supplies.
HOW DOES BVMS ANNUAL FUND DIFFER FROM PTA MEMBERSHIP?
While BVMSPTA ANNUAL FUND raises money for the school, PTA is part of a national organization which advocates on behalf of all students. For only $$10, your PTA membership allows you to vote at PTA meetings on important issues affecting students at BVMS. Members also receive discounts at various businesses in Southern California.
HOW DOES BVMS ANNUAL FUND DIFFER FROM OTHER BEVERLY VISTA FUNDRAISERS?
BVMS ANNUAL FUND is our primary fundraiser that raises money to support Programs, Events and services our students receive at Beverly Vista Middle School
HOW MUCH SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE TO BVMS THIS YEAR?
Contributions of $$550 per student to the BVMS PTA Annual Fund will help us to achieve our 2023-24 Annual Fund goals.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
BVMS PTA accepts payments for both Membership and Annual Fund through the Totem platform. Payments can be made via credit car, debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Alternatively, checks can be left in the school office. Please make checks out to BVMS PTA
ARE DONATIONS TO BVMS ANNUAL FUND TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes. The Beverly Vista Middle School PTA is an IRS-designated nonprofit organization, and, as such, your donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Tax receipts are available on the Totem platform

Middle School students are notorious for their limited communication with parents and guardians. One word answers and vague details seem to be the norm. Some days it may be tough to get even the most basic information out of your student, and many times you may not even know what to ask.
We have identified a need within our community to bridge the gap between school life and home life. We hope to provide a place for parents/guardians to gather information about issues, trends and talking points specific to BVMS, and offer communication tips to assist you in better supporting your student.
