Beverly Hills, CA (December 24, 2025) – For more than 50 years, the Beverly Hills Unified School District PTA Council has led a holiday toy drive that brings the Beverly Hills community together each season. In 2025, that tradition entered a new chapter through a meaningful collaboration with the Beverly Hills Police Department, transforming a long-standing effort into a true citywide partnership.

This year’s Operation Gift Drop united BHUSD, the BHUSD PTA Council, and the Beverly Hills Police Department in a coordinated effort that expanded the reach, visibility, and impact of the drive. Building on decades of leadership by the PTA Council, BHPD’s involvement helped extend the initiative beyond school sites and into the broader community through increased engagement, logistics support, and a highly visible presence throughout the campaign.

Together, the city raised more than 1,200 gifts, surpassing every previous holiday toy drive record.

Special recognition is extended to the Beverly Hills Basketball League, and to Fred Farahmand and Phillip Asherian, whose generosity resulted in the donation of more than 600 toys, the largest single contribution to this year’s drive.

The campaign concluded with a moment that reflected the strength of the Beverly Hills community. During the final load-in, the city’s three pillars, police, fire, and schools, came together to prepare the gifts for delivery. Mayor Sharona Nazarian joined the effort and expressed her appreciation for the community response and the remarkable number of toys collected.

This year’s Operation Gift Drop stands as a testament to who we are as a community. Through partnership, leadership, and heart, the city reaffirmed that when Beverly Hills unites, the impact is powerful.
