Beverly Hills, CA (November 23, 2025) – This Saturday, the Horace Mann Elementary School community came together to celebrate one of its most beloved traditions: the 9th Annual Husky Hoedown. The festive event brought students, families, and staff together for a joyful day of connection, fun, and school spirit.
Held on the Horace Mann campus, the Hoedown featured a wide array of activities, including games, face painting, a petting zoo, inflatable play zones, and a bake sale. One of the highlights of the day was the always-anticipated chili cook-off, where community members showcased their creativity and flavor in a friendly, family-centered competition.
The event also featured generous support from local partners, including members of the Beverly Hills Fire Department and the Beverly Hills Firefighters’ Association, who prepared and served delicious food for attendees. Their presence added a meaningful layer of community connection and service to the day’s festivities.
“This event is a powerful reflection of what makes BHUSD so special,” said Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss. “It’s not just about fun, it’s about strengthening community, honoring tradition, and creating lasting memories for our students and families. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make the Hoedown a success.”
The success of the event was made possible by the tireless dedication of the Horace Mann PTA, whose thoughtful planning and volunteerism transformed the campus into a vibrant celebration of community and school pride.
