Beverly Hills, CA (May 21, 2026) – Beverly Hills High School celebrated student achievement across academics, arts, leadership, and career pathways during its annual Department Awards Night on May 18 in the K.L. Peters Auditorium. More than 130 seniors were recognized for their dedication, talent, and perseverance, embodying the BHHS motto, Today Well Lived.

The evening celebrated excellence across a wide range of disciplines and programs, including Academic Decathlon, Computer Science, English, Mathematics, Science, World Languages, Journalism, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Technical Arts, DECA, Career Education, KBEV, and numerous specialized pathways that allow students to explore their passions while preparing for future college and career opportunities.

Presented by faculty and program leaders, the awards reflected years of hard work, growth, and achievement across the BHHS community.

“Department Awards Night highlights the remarkable accomplishments of our students and the incredible breadth of opportunities available at Beverly Hills High School,” said BHUSD Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss. “Whether students are pursuing advanced academics, artistic expression, or career-focused pathways, they are developing the skills, confidence, and character needed to thrive in a complex, changing world.”

Among the evening’s distinguished honors were the Joel Pressman Musical Theatre Award, the Allen Fond Academic Decathlon Award, and the Richard Sprouse Academic History Award, recognizing exceptional achievement and dedication across the arts and academics.

“This celebration reflects what makes BHHS such a special place,” said Principal Loan Sriruksa. “Our students are encouraged to pursue their interests, challenge themselves, and discover their unique strengths. Tonight’s honorees represent the very best of our school community, and we are proud of all they have accomplished.”

Department Awards Night also showcased the diverse academic and enrichment opportunities available to BHHS students through the district’s Pathways to Success framework, which includes over 40 programs in Performing Arts, Theatre Arts, Multimedia Journalism, Business and Entrepreneurship, Medical Science, Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Fashion Design, Culinary Arts, Visual Arts, World Languages, and more.

The celebration of student achievement will continue on May 27 with the BHHS Scholarship Awards Ceremony, where additional members of the Class of 2026 will be recognized for their accomplishments.
