Beverly Hills, CA (May 2, 2025) – The Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) announces that Mr. Drew Stewart, Principal of Beverly Hills High School, will conclude his time with BHHS at the end of this school year. His decision comes from a deeply personal place, as he will be relocating to be closer to his family.
Mr. Stewart has accepted a new position with the Lawndale Elementary School District, significantly reducing his daily commute from more than two and a half hours to around 30 minutes. This change will allow him to spend more meaningful time with his family.
Mr. Stewart’s love for the Beverly Hills community is strong. His leadership has been marked by compassion, consistency, and a deep belief in the potential of every learner. BHUSD is deeply grateful for his years of service, his commitment to our students, and the impact he has had on the BHHS community.
“This decision wasn’t easy. Beverly has been home to me in every way, but I’ve come to a place in life where I need to prioritize my family. I will forever be grateful for this community, for the people, the purpose, and the heart of this school. Beverly will always be part of me.” - Drew Stewart, Principal, Beverly Hills High School
Mr. Stewart will remain in his role through the end of the school year and is committed to finishing strong alongside students and staff. BHUSD will begin the process of selecting a new principal with care, collaboration, and community at the forefront.
The District is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition and finding the very best person to carry forward the BHHS tradition of excellence.
