Beverly Hills High School Students Honored During AAPI Heritage Month at Beverly Hills City Council

Beverly Hills, CA (May 21, 2025) – In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, student leaders from Beverly Hills High School’s Korean Culture Club and Chinese Culture Club were recognized during the City of Beverly Hills’ Moment of Unity at the May 20th City Council meeting.

This new initiative, introduced by Mayor Sharona Nazarian, honors local efforts that build unity across the Beverly Hills community. As part of this recognition, club leaders from BHHS were invited to speak at the podium, sharing how their student organizations foster cultural appreciation and connection on campus.

We deeply value our ongoing partnership with the City of Beverly Hills. Seeing our students recognized by City Council during AAPI Heritage Month highlights our shared dedication to fostering a community rooted in respect, purpose, and connection.

The Korean Culture Club and Chinese Culture Club at BHHS host cultural events, awareness campaigns, and educational programming that highlight heritage, promote cross-cultural understanding, and cultivate belonging for all students.

This recognition underscores BHUSD’s commitment to unity and community partnership, as well as the vital role students play in shaping a more connected and compassionate future.
