Beverly Hills, CA (May 30, 2025) – On Wednesday, May 28, Beverly Hills High School held its annual BHHS Scholarship Evening, continuing a longstanding tradition that celebrates student excellence and community generosity. This meaningful event brings together seniors, families, educators, and dedicated donors to recognize students for their academic achievement, leadership, service, and character. Scholarships presented during the evening help alleviate the financial pressures of college while honoring the unique strengths of each recipient. Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss participated in the celebration, presenting two special honors. The Student Board Member Award of Distinction was presented to Remy Javidzad, recognizing his service and voice on behalf of the student body. The Superintendent’s Character Award was awarded to Jurnee Burrell-Williams, honoring her integrity, resilience, and leadership. “This night reflects the very best of BHUSD,” said Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss. “Our seniors have worked incredibly hard, and the generous support of our donors reminds them, and all of us, that they don’t walk this path alone. It’s a powerful example of our community’s belief in Educational Excellence.” The BHHS Scholarship Night remains a cornerstone event that reflects the district’s mission to celebrate achievement and foster opportunity.
