Beverly Hills, CA (January 12, 2026) – During the days leading up to the 83rd Annual Golden Globes, Beverly Hills High School students experienced an opportunity few high school students anywhere in the world ever receive. Through BHUSD’s continued partnership with Dick Clark Productions and the Golden Globes, along with year-round collaboration with the Beverly Hilton, students across multiple Career Technical Education pathways were invited behind the scenes of one of the most prestigious award shows in the world to witness, and participate in, what it truly takes to produce a world-class event.

Living and learning in Beverly Hills offers students access to extraordinary opportunities. The Golden Globes Insider Program reflects that promise in action. BHUSD was honored to once again collaborate with the Golden Globes team to deliver an unparalleled real-world learning experience that connected classroom instruction to industry practice on the grandest stage possible.

Across several days, selected students from the BHHS Architecture, ASB Leadership, Broadcast Production, Business, Career Academy, Culinary Arts, Fashion, Service Learning, and Theatre Technology pathways took part in immersive experiences designed to expose them to professional environments and career possibilities. Culinary students worked directly alongside the Beverly Hilton chefs for a total of three days, including hands-on experience with the pastry team and event food preparation supporting Golden Globes programming throughout the venue. Students from across pathways engaged in career-aligned conversations with industry experts responsible for producing this iconic show, gaining insight into the planning, design, and coordination required to bring a global broadcast to life.

The excitement continued on show day, with a select group of students participating in day-of production experiences, witnessing the pace, precision, and teamwork required in a high-pressure live environment. Students were stationed on the red carpet alongside professional media agencies, conducting interviews and capturing content in real time. For many, this was their first opportunity to engage in a live professional setting with industry equipment, talent, and deadlines.

“The Golden Globes Insider Program brings storytelling, media, and production to life in ways a classroom alone simply can’t. Our students stepped into real creative and professional environments, working alongside industry leaders and seeing firsthand how large-scale productions actually come together. Experiences like this don’t just teach skills, they spark passion, build confidence, and help students imagine themselves as the next generation of creators,” said Kyle Newman, BHUSD Director of Programming, Film Studies, and Narrative Arts.

Beyond the skills gained, students described the experience as transformative. Meeting professionals, collaborating with experts, and seeing careers in action helped several students envision their own futures with new clarity. These are moments they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

“I got to experience what I want to do in the real world. It was such a unique experience, and I will hold onto it for the rest of my life. I am so grateful to attend Beverly Hills High School and have access to unique opportunities like this. My favorite part was seeing journalism firsthand, being a real interviewer on the red carpet, and learning what it takes to run an event of this scale,” said Delara Yektafar, current Beverly Hills High School senior involved in the Broadcast Production pathway.

Now in its second year, the Golden Globes Insider Program continues to expand.

“The Golden Globes Insider Program is exactly the kind of experience that shows students what is possible when education connects directly to the real world. Our students did not just observe, they contributed, learned from industry leaders, and stepped into professional spaces with confidence. We are deeply grateful to Dick Clark Productions, the Golden Globes team, and David Ecija (General Manager, the Beverly Hilton Hotel) for putting students first and for continuing to open doors that can shape a lifetime,” said Dr. Alex Cherniss, BHUSD Superintendent.

A production of this magnitude utilizes countless career pathways, including architecture, business, culinary arts, fashion, journalism, leadership, marketing, security, stage design, and technology. Through this partnership, BHHS students did not simply watch these careers in action. They stepped into them.
