Beverly Hills, CA (January 13, 2026) – After nearly a decade, the curtains will rise once again at Beverly Hills High School as the district officially reopens the historic K.L. Peters Auditorium on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
This long-awaited milestone begins with a welcome reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., leading into the opening night performance of Dance Company 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The show will continue with additional performances on January 29 and 30 at 7:00 p.m.
Dance Company 2026, presented by the BHHS Advanced Dance Theatre Group, is more than a performance; it is the first artistic expression to take the stage in this revitalized space. For years, the dance program has created and performed without a true home. Their return to the auditorium marks the beginning of a new chapter, not only for the arts but for the full campus community.
Originally built to bring students together, the K.L. Peters Auditorium now stands restored and renewed. The renovation preserves its historical architectural features while introducing state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and theatrical technology. It is once again a space where the entire student body can gather under one roof to learn, perform, and celebrate.
“The reopening of K.L. Peters Auditorium is a milestone for our students, our school, and our city,” said Board of Education President Judy Manouchehri. “This space reflects what we stand for: excellence, creativity, and opportunity. It will serve generations of learners across every discipline.”
Tickets are available at bhhs.bhusd.org/dance. Student tickets are $11, and general admission is $22. The entire community, including alumni, families, and friends, is invited to join in this celebration of return and renewal.
Guests will also get a sneak preview of the newly redesigned BHHS front lawn, which will be completed in February, marking the next step in the transformation of the BHHS campus.
The reopening of Peters Auditorium is one of several major campus spaces brought online in the past year under the leadership of the current Board of Education. From the renovated Salter Family Theatre to six new tennis courts, a brand new softball field, and the classroom and performance spaces in the new B3 and B4 buildings, these long-awaited openings represent a clear shift. After years of delay, BHUSD is moving forward, delivering the facilities our students and staff deserve.
“This Board came in with a clear goal: to finish what was started and deliver on the promises made to our community,” said Board of Education President Judy Manouchehri. “Every new space we open is a reflection of our belief that our students deserve the very best, and we’re just getting started.”
As the lights go up and students take the stage, the District invites all who have ever called BHHS home to be part of this unforgettable moment.
