Beverly Hills, CA (April 13, 2025) – Continuing our BHHS College Decisions Series, Beverly Hills High School is proud to announce that Daniel Salkin, a standout member of the Class of 2025, will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Daniel will major in Computer Engineering at one of the nation’s top-ranked engineering programs.
What didn’t Daniel do at BHHS? Over the past four years, he dove headfirst into nearly every facet of campus life, Symphonic Band, Wrestling, Advanced Culinary Arts, Robotics, and Theatre Stage Design, leaving his mark in every space he entered. His leadership shone brightest as President of MORTORQ, the school’s award-winning Robotics Team, where he guided his peers through the Robotics Capstone class with innovation, determination, and collaborative spirit.
From programming robots and designing theatrical sets to crafting gourmet dishes in Advanced Culinary Arts, Daniel brought thoughtfulness, focus, and heart to all he pursued—all while balancing a rigorous AP course load.
“Daniel’s passion, balance, and perseverance have been truly inspiring to witness,” said Mr. Drew Stewart, Principal of Beverly Hills High School. “Whether leading a team or exploring a creative challenge, he represents the very best of BHHS. We can’t wait to see the future he’ll engineer at UIUC.”
As Daniel takes the next step in his journey, he carries with him the spirit of BHHS and what it means to live Today Well Lived.
