
Beverly Hills, CA (April 15, 2025) – Beverly Hills High School’s Broadcast Journalism program has once again demonstrated its dominance, sweeping the podium at the 2025 SkillsUSA California State Competition in Video News Production with Gold, Silver, and Bronze wins.
Earning Gold, the team of Perry Gilardian, Jason Maybaum, Nora Nikfarjam, and Aaron Gabayan will go on to represent California at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference this June in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Silver team included Zachary Hasson, Noam Albou, Chloe Emrani, and Sophia Saidian, followed by the Bronze team of Deborah Cohen, Gunnar Walmsley, Josh Albou, and Saanvi Jha.
This clean sweep continues a remarkable nine-year winning streak for BHHS Broadcast Journalist students at SkillsUSA, further solidifying Beverly Hills High School’s reputation for producing top-tier student journalists. The program, led by longtime CTE teacher Mr. Carey, remains a cornerstone of hands-on media education at BHHS.
