BHUSD Welcomes Ms. Kim D’Aloisio as New Principal of El Rodeo Elementary School

Beverly Hills, CA (May 9, 2025) – The Beverly Hills Unified School District (BHUSD) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Kim D’Aloisio as the new principal of El Rodeo Elementary School, pending formal approval by the BHUSD Board of Education at the upcoming meeting on Tuesday. She is bringing with her more than 20 years of transformative leadership in public education.

Ms. D’Aloisio started her career in elementary education and most recently served as principal of an award-winning middle school in Los Angeles, where her leadership led to recognition as a California Distinguished School, a Magnet Schools of America Merit of Excellence recipient (2024 & 2025), and a PBIS Silver Award honoree. She has also secured multiple competitive grants for innovation, outdoor learning, and STEM expansion.

In 2024, Ms. D’Aloisio was named ACSA Region 16 Principal of the Year and North Valley Chamber of Commerce Principal of the Year, and she was featured in LAUSD’s Beating the Odds digital magazine for her outstanding contributions to student achievement and innovation. She is currently a national Cahn Fellow, a prestigious program recognizing distinguished principals across the country, and a finalist for LAUSD’s Principal of the Year.

Ms. D’Aloisio is a dynamic, accomplished leader who brings both innovation and heart to everything she does. Her track record speaks for itself, and her commitment to students, families, and staff makes her an exceptional fit for the El Rodeo community. Known for her collaborative leadership style and dedication to data-driven instruction, Ms. D’Aloisio has a strong record of advancing academic achievement and community engagement. She has served in various roles across Southern California, including teacher, assistant principal, district coordinator, and mentor for aspiring administrators.
