BHUSD Celebrates 2025 Retirees at Hawthorne’s Legacy Courtyard

Beverly Hills, CA (May 26, 2025) – On May 22, the Beverly Hills Unified School District proudly honored its 2025 retirees with a heartfelt celebration at the Legacy Courtyard on the Hawthorne campus.

The gathering brought together colleagues, district leaders, and family members to recognize the lasting impact of this year’s retirees. Board of Education President Mrs. Rachelle Marcus, Vice President Judy Manouchehri, and Governing Member Dr. Amanda Stern joined Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss to celebrate the occasion and personally thank the honorees for their service.

Each retiree was recognized, marking the close of a chapter defined by dedication, compassion, and excellence. Among the group were individuals who have served BHUSD students for over 30 years, a powerful reminder of the long-lasting impact educators and staff make across generations.

Our retirees have helped shape the heart of BHUSD,” said Dr. Cherniss. “We are thankful for everything they’ve given to our schools, our students, and this community.
