Beverly Hills, CA (December 27, 2025) – The Beverly Hills High School Boys Basketball team delivered a spectacular comeback win on Saturday, December 27th, rallying from an 11-point deficit in the final minutes to defeat Highland High School of Palmdale in the high-stakes Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational.
Down by 11 points with just under four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Varsity team showed resilience, unity, and focus, closing the gap possession by possession until they took the lead in the final moments. With this win, the Normans improve to 10–2 on the season and 2–0 in the tournament.
The comeback unfolded in front of a packed gym filled with dedicated families and supporters of both the Varsity and JV teams. The energy from the stands matched the determination on the court, as Beverly Hills battled until the final whistle.
“This was a defining win,” said Steve Lawson, Director of Athletics for BHUSD. “Our boys showed exactly what it means to compete with heart, discipline, and school pride. Victories like this don’t just build records; they build culture. This program is rising, and the work behind it is real.”
The tournament continues Monday and Tuesday, where the Normans will look to build on their momentum.
